Welcome to the Church of England Online Faculty System and Church Heritage Record
The Online Faculty System will become read-only for new applications and case updates from 5.00pm on 28th September 2026. This is required to allow the final transfer of data and records to the Building Management Portal and to ensure that no information is lost during the migration.
Users are asked not to start new applications or submit significant updates to existing cases immediately before the transition. Where possible, please wait and submit new applications, and updates through the Building Management Portal once it becomes available to all dioceses on 6th October 2026.
The Online Faculty System will close permanently at midnight on 30th September 2026 and will be replaced by the Building Management Portal.
From 6th October 2026, all new faculty applications, List B applications, List A records, notifications and other church buildings work must be submitted through the Building Management Portal.
Existing cases and historical records will be transferred to the new platform as part of the migration. Users are advised to download any reports or information they may require from the Online Faculty System before it closes.
