Summary Description

Christ Church is built on a North/South alignment rather than the normal East/West, with the chancel at the north end. Christ Church was built in 1868 and is designed by the architect John Lowe. It is unlisted. The building is of yellow sandstone and has a gabled South end to Liverpool Road with an offset spirelet, a large plate-traceried wheel window with trefoil openings. The clerestory has small quatrefoil windows.
