Summary Description

The Church building was designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott and building commenced in 1869. It is built of Red Sandstone with a westmorland slate roof and is well maintained to a high standard. The style is of early English middle gothic and has pairs of narrow lancet windows and cluster columns carrying stiff foliage capitals. The Church sits in fairly large grounds which houses the Parish Hall and a Calvary War Memorial. The Grounds, Church and Parish Hall are in an elevated position and clearly visible to passers by.
