Summary Description

The building consists of two parts, a nave and a slightly narrower chancel: the shape of the churchyard, and its prominent position, suggest a very ancient site. The present nave dates from the early 12th century and was lengthened, and the west wall rebuilt, when the bell-cote was added in the 13th century. The chancel was probably also added in the 13th century, but was rebuilt in the 19th century re-using old materials.
