Summary Description

An attractive 12th and 13th century church with later alterations and an 1848 restoration. In particular, it has well preserved decoratively treated features from many historical periods still surviving. Its Norman features are especially unusual and interesting, particularly a very rare plaque of knights jousting from the 14th century. The buttresses and a belfry were added in the 17th century and a porch was added in the 18th century. The 19th century has contributed decorative roof-corbel heads, good glass and a decorated chancel screen, while the 20th/21 centuries have (so far) provided decorative textiles.
