Summary Description

The small Victorian Gothic chapel-of-ease with its short squat tower is almost hidden from view by trees, including a large yew tree on the approach from the west. It was designed by the Warr practice of nearby Beaminster and built in 1869-71 as a chapel-of-ease with money provided by the Pope family of Toller Whelme and furnished by subscription by the parish of Corscombe. This is a modest design in the Decorated style. Some vertical emphasis is given by the stumpy castellated tower at the west end, though this is partly masked by trees.
