Summary Description

The church had become ruinous by the middle of the eighteenth century and on 25 May 1773 a Faculty was granted for the sale of two cracked bells to help pay for the demolition of the west tower, the reduction of the nave by twelve feet at the west end and the construction of a new west wall. In fact most of the nave seems to be late eighteenth-century in date.
