Summary Description

St Peter Pembury Old Church is a medieval Grade 1 listed Building which was referred to in the Textus Roffensis. Inside, hanging on the wall (hanging on two nails) near the main door is a wooden board with list of the Incumbents since the foundation of this Church (Photograph Set 1). The first name on the board is the last Rector, Richard Oliver, with resignation date of 1278. The first Vicar listed is Richard Dering, with date of Institution of 1327.
