North Porch - Wooden gates prelim.pdf 28/12/2025 15:18:29The only external gates in church are to the much larger and grander South Porch. They are heavy oak with metal grill inserts. To copy these gates would be to significantly alter the appearance of the North Porch. In the view of the Vicar and Wardens, this approach would be too radical a break with Butterfield's intention for the North Porch. The expense would be considerable. This is not the church's preferred option.
