Summary Description

The Church, designed by David Nye, was built by the Parishioners between 1958 and 1967 when Mervyn, Bishop of Southwark dedicated the new Church under the name Christ the King. The original building was demolished in 1968 and its site became a garden of remembrance. Originally this site was occupied by a Mission Church built in 1881.
