Actor type: Person
Full Name: Michael O'Connor
Notes: Michael O'Connor (1801-67) was a stained glass maker, who worked first as a heraldic painter. He moved first to Bristol, and subsequently to London in 1845, and was a pupil of Thomas Willement, and also collaborated with A.W.N. Pugin. Arthur O'Connor (1826-73) was one of his sons, who became his partner in the firm at about that date. Another son, William Henry, joined the firm in the 1860s, as did William George Taylor (born 1822) in 1873. Taylor subsequently led the firm from 1877 as Taylor & O'Connor and then Taylor & Clifton, continuing into the early twentieth century.
