Summary Description

Built in 1879 by F R Wilson, who also designed the adjacent vicarage. It was built to replace the parish church of Duddo St James, 1832 by Ignatius Bonomi, which became part of the school. A compact and simple building, given some vertical emphasis by the steeply-pitched roof and the short west tower, again with a steep pyramid roof covered in slates above the belfry stage.
